Hello 👋, Love! My name is Adrian and I’m the creator of Hygge Health Co. Welcome. I’m SO glad you’re here.

When did exhaustion become the baseline? In addition to feeling WIPED, have you been told that you have a chronic illness and that you’ll need meds for the rest of your life to manage it? Yeah, me too!
I’m on a mission to help women (maybe, like you?) break the cycle of overwhelm and step into their best life, today, without all of the struggle.
How would it feel if your life had more joy, connectedness and maybe even a little peace, in place of burnout and exhaustion?
When I was younger, I questioned whether or not that was possible for me. At 20 years old, I was placed on my first chronic medication for hyperthyroidism. One more at 22 for dysmenorrhea and then another at 23 for polycystic ovarian syndrome. 😔 These prescriptions were in addition to the over-the-counter medications I took for cystic acne and eczema. My health was falling apart, and in my early 20s, at that. Over the next few years, multiple specialists continued to relay the same discouraging news. In spite of my adherence to the care plan, I wasn’t getting better and my quality of life was decreasing from side effects of the meds. 💊 There wasn’t anything they or I could do about it. Or, so I was told...

After an acute medical scare, I decided enough was enough! I channeled my frustration and researched natural health methods and implemented the pillars of Lifestyle Medicine. Good-bye deteriorating life and hello health! Fast forward, I’ve now been medication FREE for over nine years and feel a hella lot better than I did at 20. With each passing year, I am healthier than the previous one. 🙌🏻 Take that "incurable" illnesses!

That experience highlighted a void in our healthcare system. Where were the providers who could present what I learned to their patients? Why had no one told me this was possible? (Actually, I was told the opposite! ... things would only progress with time and I would develop additional chronic illnesses, like diabetes. WTH?! 😩)

Long story short, I traded my medications for textbooks and went back to grad school. I’m now a Nurse Practitioner board certified in Family Practice, Lifestyle Medicine and Health and Wellness Coaching. Because I personally experienced how powerful proper nutrition is, I completed additional certification in Plant-Based Nutrition. Currently, to further bolster my coaching skills, I'm working on a certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

But, more importantly, I’ve BEEN there. I’ve sat in that gown, disheartened, confused, a
nd alone. I've known seasons where I could barely get of bed. AND, I’m very familiar with what it takes to overhaul health and how many times you’ll have to pick yourself up. But, you know what?
Unlike me, YOU don't have to do it alone.
I'm with you and here to support you.
I'll listen to you and help you discover YOUR path to WholeHealth.
TOGETHER, we can get you well, faster.

Adrian Hygge, APRN, FNP-C, DipACLM, NBC-HWC

Working in healthcare is a second career for Adrian. After personally experiencing the power of Lifestyle Medicine in reversing multiple chronic illnesses, a passion for holistic care was born, as well as a desire to help others do the same. Through her experiences within the healthcare system, she saw a need for providers to partner with patients in the creation of health and desired to be a part of that solution. Accordingly, she attended Vanderbilt University to complete her MSN degree and board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Additionally, Adrian attended the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt to complete their Health Coach program and certified with the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. Next, Adrian passed boards in Lifestyle Medicine through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She also holds a certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University.

In 2019, Adrian founded Hygge Health Co. With her WholeHealth™ approach, she helps busy, overwhelmed women create a healthy lifestyle so they can have more energy, discover vibrant health and still "do it all."

Outside of work, you can find Adrian with her husband and rescue pups, exploring beautiful Tennessee, or stockpiling cookbooks and herbal teas.
